Our history

For well over 200 years, the water has been the home of our family, the Quandts. Our family consists of captains and ship builders from the high seas as well as inland waterways. We once even personally served the Emperor with our knowledge and expertise. Since 1965, we have been making our way through the ‘Amazon of the North’ with our ships and have become an integral part of the region.

During the trip, we also impart our specialised knowledge about the history of the region and the once not so idyllic Wakenitz lowlands.

Our values

We attach great importance to tradition, quality and customer satisfaction. Our river cruises offer not only a way to get around, but also a unique opportunity to experience the nature and history of the surrounding area.

Our fleet

– Every ship has a soul and belongs to the family
– Each ship has its own charm and contributes to making your excursions and celebrations an unforgettable experience

MS Wakenitz

With a length of 23.9 metres, a dashing bow and a modern dual-circuit cooling system, the ship glides through the Wakenitz in an environmentally friendly manner.

96 seats on the lower deck and 76 seats on the upper deck invite you to linger in comfort and enjoy the marvellous river landscape.

MS Melanie

Born as a flat glider, the 25 metre long passenger ship with its modern, environmentally friendly dual-circuit cooling system has been in service since 1998 and was designed and co-created by the Quandt family.

With 80 seats in the saloon, 20 seats in the semi-open area and a further 10 seats on the aft deck, there is room for everyone.

The special highlight is a large open roof at the rear of the ship.

MS Nadine

With her 18 metres, she creates a lively impression and is the ideal ship for your celebration.

With 48 seats and 12 outside seats, she was built at the Quandt shipyard in 1986. She also has 2 sliding sunroofs and panoramic windows.

MS Dolores (our Oldtimer, more than 50 years old)

It all started over 60 years ago with our MS Dolores and for just as long
we have been working with great dedication every day on this ship, which is full of tradition, values and expertise.

A ship that helped shape the early days and has experienced a lot along the Wakenitz: From transporting mail to taking in GDR refugees, for which she once took a bullet, she is a piece of the history of the Lübeck region. A heart that will beat forever!

Our customers thoughts

Rainer M. / Besucher

Sehr nette Mannschaft an Bord. Moderate Preise für Speisen und Getränke. Tolle Aussichten. Unterhaltsamer Kapitän. War eine rundum gelungene Tour.
